Setting
up a live broadcast presentation:
1.
On the Welcome to Windows Media Encoder screen, click Broadcast,
capture or convert a file using the New Session Wizard and click OK.

On the Session Selection page, click Broadcast a live event from
attached devices or computer screen and click NEXT.

If your presentation will include streaming video, click the Video
option on the Device Options page and pick your video capture card from
the adjacent list.

Then, click the Audio option and pick your sound card from
the adjacent list and click Next.
5.
In the HTTP Port box on the Broadcast Connection page, enter the port
number assigned to you by Stream.Joinweb and click Next.
6.
On the Profile Selection page, choose a profile from the list matching the
connection speed you will use for your streaming content.
If
the profile you want is not available, click Create and Manage
Profiles and create a custom profile. For example, if you have a
10Kbps 24x7 account, choose the 10Kbps profile.
When
you have chosen a profile, click Next.
7.
If you want to maintain a copy of the presentation for future use, select
the Archive a copy of the broadcast option on the Archive
Option page and provide a name for the archive file. Click Next.
8.
If you are capturing a video, the Video Option screen will appear. Click No,
I want to broadcast from my selected devices only and click Next.
9.
On the Display Information page, add any details you want about the
presentation and click Next. These details will be displayed
to users who view your presentation.
10.
Verify all the information you have specified and click Finish.
11.
Open your Windows Media Encoder and click Start.
Note:
If your presentation is inaudible, click Mixer...on the
bottom left-hand side of the Windows Media Encoder monitor. In the
Recording Control dialog box, verify that the correct input is selected.
For example, if you are talking through a microphone, make sure Mic
is selected.
